Sysy and her wings

Syra loves her wings and shoes! She wasn't feeling great, so we didn't do a full photo shoot, but rather I captured some candid shots. Gosh I love her so...

Dora the Explorer Wheels

Here is Syra in her slightly used Dora the Explorer Jeep given to her by the best grandparents ever!

She has yet to master the art of steering the wheel, CRASH into me. LOL! And of course she stops for helicopters, and airplanes!

Syra and Mama

Here is a new picture of Syra and I. I don't get too many photos with Syra, only cause I am usually the one taking the pictures, haha.

A Day with Dre

Syra and I drove out to visit my good girlfriend Jasmine. Syra got to hang out with her son, Andreas, or better known as Dre.

Syra loved his horse that he had there, and spend quite a bit on time on it. Here are the pictures of our Day with Dre :)

A gift from Great Grandma

My grandma, aka Mogie, sent this sweet garden doll to Syra. It represents our motto "Butts Up!", there was a day when I was gardening with Mogie and we were both bent over removing the grass in bewteen some rocks to replace it with pebbles, anyways we both looked over at one another and started busting up laughing cause we both had our heads down and butts up! Hence forth the Butts Up was born! That is one of our special moments, afterward we laughed some more over a glass of wine.

So here a garden doll for Syra from her Great Grandma, Diane! It is soft and cuddly, and here is a picture of Syra who fell asleep with her new doll.

Thank you Bonika and Umpa!

My Mom and Dad got this little house for Syra off of Craigslist. Mom Syra and I went to pick it up. What a trek to get to Sherman Oaks from Woodland Hills...haha but we made before the lady needed to leave! Syra loves her house, here is a picture of her playing inside with a tiger! Another picture Syra is in her swing with her favorite toy, the piggy bank! I swear that thing goes everywhere with us, haha. And Bonika and Umpa got her the Artic Water Table to play with, cause rain or shine, hot or cold this little loves to play with water! For example, we just last night caught her standing in the middle of her little plastic pool at night with all of her clothes on, socks and shoes included!

Spring 2009!

A Sandbox for Syra

This weekend my Dad got down and dirty digging a hole to put Syra's new sandbox in for her. We used the old fish pond liner for the sandbox, it is perfect it is big and you can sit on the side and play with her. So we now have a sandbox to play in ladies and gents! Next step thing I want to do is get the swing up! Here are a few photos....

Well I figured I would knit another scarf for Syra since she keeps going in the closet and pulling all of mine out and wearing them around the house. So here is a shot of her wearing her new scarf

Updates on Syra

Well in the last 5 days Syra has become VERY talkative. She has added a ton of new sounds to her "toddler garbble", but she has learned all Done, Down, Dog, No and Stop. haha probably because I am running around after her saying no stop that or no don't touch that or stop and put that down or something to that nature. So now every question is answered with shaking of the head and no, even if she means yes she is saying no.

She has also showed interest in the toilet so we bought her the a little elmo toilet seat topper that she can sit on and not fall into the toilet. I asked her the other day, since I noticed she was "getting ready to poop" so I asked her if she wanted to use the toilet, she walked into the bathroom and pointed to the toilet, so I guess we are making progress right?

She has learned most of the parts on the face, eyes, cheeks, eyebrows, forehead, chin, lips, teeth, mouth, ears, tongue, hair. So we are now moving on down the body, she has got her hands, fingers, and legs, toes, and feet down, and that shoes and socks go on her feet. Which she loves to pull her socks off to try and put them on by herself in only getting frustrated and bringing me her socks.

She LOVES to be outside with her hands in some form of water, even if it the dog's water bowl. She loves to go for bike rides, some days we take two bike rides, especially with this beautiful weather we are having in January. She loves rocks, crystal's, tumbled stones she will play with longer than any of her toys.

She wants to know what everything is, so she is asking and pointing to everything. And she does not miss a single thing. I have some essential oils with only their white tops showing she will spot them all the way across the room. She loves art, she has been helping me paint, and if I am not painting she will grab one of my brushes and put it on the canvas and then put it in the water.

She is still allergic to certain soaps, laundry detergent, and lotions, as well as Tylenol, and other un-natural products. Everything has got to natural, natural, natural. So I only use California Baby products on her, they seem to work the best. We are trying a new homeopathic teething product since Oralgel doesn't work, hasn't from the beginning seems to be working well or better than the tablets.

She is still breastfeeding, and likes juice, milk, and water. And eats a wide variety of food. Although I must say she loves her organic mac and cheese, brown rice noodles with sauce. What is it with kids and pasta?

Meow and Woof

Syra has learned that dogs go Woof woof, and our kitty cat Josie goes meow. It is cute to see her start woofing when the dogs start barking, and when she sees or hears Josie Syra also starts to meow.
